Job Description
Prestage Farms is currently seeking a Local Live Haul Driver to join our team. As a Local Live Haul Driver, you will be responsible for transporting live animals from farms to processing plants in a safe and timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) to transport live animals
- Ensure the humane and safe handling of animals during transportation
- Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities
- Communicate and coordinate with farms and processing plants to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
Requirements
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 21 years old
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable CDL driving experience
- Ability to handle and restrain animals
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of professionalism
