JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Clinical Pharmacy Manager is responsible for the development and quality oversight of clinical pharmacy programs including collaborative practice agreements and clinical protocols as well as oversight of pharmacy informatics projects. 

The Clinical Pharmacy Manager will assist the Director of Pharmacy with implementation of clinical programs to meet medication management standards, national patient safety goals and Risk Evaluation and Mitigation strategies (REMS).

Responsibilities may also include assisting the Director Pharmacy with:

  • implementation of patient safety initiatives
  • formulary management
  • event reporting  
  • policy and procedure development and review
  • quality assurance activities
  • staff competencies  and education
  • daily supervision of drug distribution and clinical pharmacy service activities

EDUCATION

  • Graduate of accredited school of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.   

EXPERIENCE

  • Recent hospital experience with a strong clinical component. 
  • Pharmacy informatics and pharmacy automation experience preferred.

LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS

  • Registered Pharmacist in the State of Washington.
