Dishwasher/Utility Cook for a Sport Team - Part Time

Wage Range: $23

Schedule : Monday-Friday 10am-3pm / 5 hrs. per day --> 25hrs/week

Wage Range: $23

Your Impact:

The dishwasher Utility Cook serves as the backbone of the kitchen, playing a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of meal services to athletes. Their diligent work in cleaning and maintaining kitchen utensils and equipment is essential for hygiene and food safety standards. Without their contribution, the seamless operation of the kitchen would be compromised, and residents would face delays in receiving the nourishment vital to their well-being.

Your contributions are:

Work independently to accomplish the following responsibilities.

  • Check box bin: empty when needed.
  • Set up / clear pot washing area 3 compartment sink, following sanitation regulations
  • Follow all proper safety and sanitation requirements
  • Check tray-belt, clear if needed.
  • Check and fill dish machine.
  • Check and record wash / rinse temperatures.
  • Wash any items that are soiled and dirty.
  • All washable equipment must air dry on racks / free of water. Follow procedure of never touching dirty equipment before touching clean equipment without washing hands first.
  • Sort and stack clean equipment. Carries / carts clean equipment to proper storage areas.
  • Run dish machine filters through machine.
  • Shut down machine, drain and clean dish machine jets and screens, rinse machine inside and out, using hose with hot water connection.
  • Remove trash and cardboard to dumpster.
  • Assist kitchen staff as needed in other tasks and functions such as Prep cook work, light cooking, cold food prep and help with putting away the delivery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Physical and Sensory Requirements: 

Requires mobility to stand and walk extensively during shift. Lifting, carrying trays and boxes, pans and dishes up to 25lbs. Push/Pull Food Hot Boxes up to 50lbs. Bend, stoop for access to carts, food, trays, and other kitchen equipment. Manual dexterity for the use of kitchen utensils, dish machine and tools.  Visuals for reading menus, labels, and directions. Hearing to respond to verbal communications. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures. 

 Ensuring that Utility/Dishwasher Aide meets these physical and sensory requirements is crucial to their ability to contribute effectively to the well-being of a well-run, safe and functioning kitchen.

 

What you will need

  • ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
  • Age 18 or older, state specific pending
  • Ability to read, speak, write and comprehend English
  • Able to work weekend and holiday schedule rotations.
