Loan Operations Manager

Androscoggin Bank, a Certified B-Corporation and local community institution, is hiring for a Loan Operations Manager. The Loan Operations Manager will oversee the Bank's Loan Servicing Department to ensure timely completion of files. Other responsibilities include identifying opportunities for process improvement, increased operational efficiency, and business line project support. Identifies and recommends automation opportunities to enhance productivity and operational efficiency. Works with Risk Management department and continuously updates knowledge as it relates to changes in State and Federal regulation and modifies processes and procedures accordingly.

Essential Functions Include:

• Responsible for hiring, evaluating and, when necessary, disciplining approximately 6 staff members
• Oversees the training, cross training and development of staff members.
• Participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures which impact related areas.
• Work with core operating systems vendor to resolve technical processing issues related to loan servicing.
• Remains current on all regulatory and compliance issues implementation changes in procedures as necessary.
• Oversees the efficient and effective management of the loan portfolio including servicing of secondary market investors such as Freddie-Mac and FHLB as well as commercial participations and SWAPS.
• Performs other job related duties and projects as assigned by Manager.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Loan Servicing department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include developing, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Ensures employees are aware of and adhere to all banking related laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Qualifications:

• Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in the loan operations and processing.
• Proven knowledge of regulations surrounding lending.
• Proven organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven analytical abilities to analyze data and suggest recommendations.
• Ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
• Previous experience managing and motivating staff.
• Proficiency with multiple computer applications, specifically word processing, spreadsheet and database management software.
