Job Description
In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:
Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
Federal Work Study student may apply.
In good disciplinary standing.
Must be located in the U.S.

The Social Media Content Assistant will support the Director of Marketing and Communications in creating and managing digital content that promotes the Berklee City Music program. This is a 12 hour per week position and may require occasional evenings and weekends based on the event calendar.Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented, and creative, with strong communication skills and a passion for storytelling through social media. Applicants with experience in digital content editing and design, a strong sense of voice and tone, and an interest in engaging youth and young adult audiences through dynamic, platform-specific content are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Capture video and photo content at student events, rehearsals, and performances
Create and edit content for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, including Reels, stories, and carousels
Maintain and update Berklee City Music’s social media content calendar
Draft captions, schedule posts, and assist with publishing
Contribute to the visual and editorial consistency of Berklee City Music’s digital presence
Support light graphic design work using Canva or similar tools
Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to connect with youth and young adults from diverse backgrounds
Detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills
Confident creative eye for video, photography, and design
Experience with social media video editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Premiere, InShot, etc.)
Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook content best practices
Basic experience with Canva or other design platforms preferred
