Job Description

The Engineering Tech role will work in collaboration with cross-functional teams to analyze and resolve a variety of technical issues related to quality and manufacturing. They will be assigned a mentor to learn, participate in projects and help solve simple or medium-level cases related to quality, production, and engineering processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Enrolled in accredited electronics or engineering related degreed program
- Available for a full-time, onsite paid internship role (4 months) in Summer 2025
- Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent residents (green card holders) to work with controlled defense articles and related technical data without additional authorization
- Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), and ability to clearly articulate fact-based opinions/ideas
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proactive approach to learning, curiosity and openness to asking questions and seeking feedback
- Experience in organizing concise and accurate technical documentation
- Interest in future electronics / manufacturing career with Creation a plus
- Experience in manufacturing methodology a plus
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Efficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, idea presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety guidelines.
REPORTING STRUCTURE: Reports to an Engineer or Quality Team Leader

- May participates in the design, development and readiness of manufacturing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety standards
- May handle routine engineering tasks and escalates issues as necessary, ensuring compliance with quality standards and that products meet customer required specifications and standards.
- May execute basic engineering tasks, assists in prototype assembly, and performs routine technical work under engineering supervision.
- Demonstrates a foundational understanding of electronics principles and manufacturing processes, solving rudimentary problems.
- Reviews and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) for compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborates effectively within the engineering team, communicating technical information clearly and contributing to operational goals.
- Provides support in maintaining the equipment and tools necessary for the electronic manufacturing processes.
- Assists in the development and documentation of manufacturing processes and procedures, ensuring accurate records and adherence to company defined protocols.
- Supports continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback on existing processes and participating in new process development.
- Aids in the troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment, minimizing downtime, and maintaining production efficiency.
- Other projects, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Physical Demands
As expected within a typical office type environment however may on occasion spend an extended amount of time standing or walking in a production environment. The incumbent must possess enough strength to safely maneuver around archived materials up to 25lbs without injury to themselves or others.
Mental Demands
Emotionally capable of professionally handling high-pressure situations in a fast paced, highly demanding industry.
Working Conditions
Equal mix of office and production environment. You will be required to wear safety clothing and gears when working in safety sensitive environments.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards.
- Proficiency in basic electronics assembly and/or testing, and/or troubleshooting.
- Effective oral and written English communication and collaboration skills.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Capacity to learn and apply new skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Awareness of Lean principles, six sigma and industrial ergonomics preferred.
Proficient in using Computer systems and knowledge of CAD/CAM and programming preferred.
