Job Description
As Weezie’s first-ever People & HR Manager, you’ll help build and lead our HR function from the ground up. You’ll be a trusted partner to leadership, a resource to managers, and a champion for employees, supporting a 50+ person workforce that spans fulfillment, retail, and corporate teams. You’ll handle everything from recruiting to onboarding, employee relations to benefits, and compliance to culture-building events. This is a hands-on role with real strategic impact and room to grow into a team leader and people manager.
What You’ll Do
People & Talent
- Support full-cycle recruiting across corporate, warehouse, and retail teams
- Overhaul and maintain our applicant tracking system in JazzHR, using AI tools to score, sort, and surface high-potential candidates
- Partner with hiring managers to define scorecards and interview plans
- Own onboarding and offboarding processes
Employee Relations & Development
- Build trust across a diverse employee base through consistent presence, listening, and fairness
- Coordinate quarterly manager check-ins and manage the annual promotion cycle
- Conduct periodic compensation benchmarking exercise
- Mediate conflicts and coach managers on performance issues with clear, values-aligned communication
- Track and analyze team trends to surface growth opportunities and risk areas
HR Operations & Compliance
- Own and optimize our benefits programs, including leading a healthcare benefits RFP
- Manage handbook updates, policy rollouts, and annual sign-offs
- Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal labor laws
Culture & Engagement
- Plan and execute employee events and celebrations
- Maintain a pulse on team morale and propose programs to increase retention and engagement
Who you are:
- 5+ years of HR experience across multiple disciplines (employee relations, recruiting, benefits, compliance)
- Experience with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), JazzHR, JustWorks and AI tools are a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across diverse employee bases (warehouse, retail, corporate teams)
- A bias toward action, curiosity, and process-building
- High comfort with ambiguity; you build as you go and improve along the way

What to expect:
- Hybrid work environment - you should expect to split Monday-Thursday between our Austell based Fulfillment center and our Westside Provisions District Corporate offices. You will work from home on Fridays.
