Job Description
General Definition and Scope of Job
The Food Production Worker conducts a variety of tasks within the department, (utility, room service, café server and general kitchen worker.)
JOB STATUS:
- Full Time, 80 hours per pay period, 1st shift/varied
What are the Minimum Skills, Experience and Educational Requirements?
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Competency in communication skills, mathematics and computers.
- Good interpersonal skills and a team orientated attitude.
- Above average attention to personal hygiene.
- ServSafe Food Safety Certification or Ottawa County Health Department Food Safety Program preferred.
What are the Critical Demands of the Job?
- Must be able to lift 30lbs.
- Must be able to communicate to both internal and external customers in a professional manner.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to flex hours of schedule to meet the demands of the operation.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information.
- Working knowledge of food and physical safety standards.
What are the Working Conditions?
- Exposure to potentially hazardous equipment on a daily basis.
- Exposure to hot and cold elements (cooking equipment and coolers/freezers.)
- On your feet for 90% of workday.
