Hiring Range $126,110.40 to $172,348.80

Pay Range $126,110.40 to $195,478.40

Nurse Director II

Hiring Range $144,393.60 to $197,329.60

Pay Range $144,393.60 to $223,787.20

Summary of Job Responsibilities:

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Nurse Director in Medical Services Division is responsible for the Quality Assurance, Quality Improvement, nursing standards and clinical outcomes for programs assigned. The nurse director is responsible for directing the day to day performance of clinical and direct care programs and departments across multiple locations. The nurse director works closely with the operational and clinical leadership to lead the establishment of strategies to ensure quality cost-effective care for customer- owners. The nurse director is accountable for operational, financial, quality, and continuous improvement activities across multiple disciplines and specialties including compliance with multiple regulatory agencies.

This position has two (2) levels designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experiences. Progression between job levels is based on the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments

Qualifications:

SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF's geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF's vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services:

  • Master's degree in nursing; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Licensed in the State of Alaska as a Registered Nurse.
  • Three (3) years of experience in theory-based nursing and a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • One (1) year of progressive leadership responsibilities such as leading a team, project, or initiative.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty and any certification relating to the scope of practice as required.

Additional Qualifications for Nurse Director II:

  • Demonstrated proficiency as a Nurse Director I at SCF.
