Key Accountabilities

Application Development: Drive the design, development, and enhancement of features within The Archer, Arrow Senior Living’s proprietary web application, using Django, JavaScript, and related technologies to improve user experience and operational efficiency

Issue Resolution and Stability: Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve technical issues within the platform to ensure consistent performance, reliability, and satisfaction across internal users.

System Integration: Build and maintain API integrations between The Archer and internal or third-party software platforms, enabling seamless data flow and operational automation across the organization.+

Analytics Support and Tooling: Partner with the Analytics team to develop and maintain internal tools that support reporting, business intelligence, and process automation, contributing to data-driven decision-making throughout the company.

Duties

This position description is designated to outline primary duties, qualifications, and job scope, but not limit the individual or the organization to just the work identified.   • Translate business and user requirements into scalable, maintainable code across both front-end and back-end components using Django, Python, and JavaScript.
  • Optimize new and existing features for mobile Progressive Web Application. Write clean, well-documented code that supports long-term maintainability and ease of extension.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and the Analytics team to deliver user-centered solutions and develop automation tools that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Design, implement, and maintain RESTful API integrations between The Archer and third-party platforms to ensure seamless data interoperability.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure application reliability, stability, and performance over time.
  • Monitor system performance and logs to proactively identify and resolve issues or bottlenecks.
  • Use Git version control in a collaborative development environment, contributing to a clean and reviewable codebase.
  • Document application architecture, features, and processes for team knowledge sharing and onboarding.
  • Apply secure coding practices and support compliance with data protection standards.
  • Assist with basic DevOps or deployment tasks as needed to support ongoing maintenance and system uptime.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in web application development.
  • Proficiency in Python and Django.
  • Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and SQL. Experience with htmx and AlpineJS preferred.
  • Experience with Progressive Web Applications preferred.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and API integrations.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with remote teams.
  • Familiarity with deploying and maintaining a Django project in a production environment.
  • Possesses clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to follow written and verbal directions and apply practical problem-solving skills if needed.
  • Professional in appearance and conduct
  • Must be criminally cleared

Physical Requirements

This position requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The employee must be able to communicate effectively using a variety of methods including virtual meetings, email, and written documentation.
