Part-Time Feed Electrical Maintenance Tech

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Include but are not limited to the following:

Electrical

• Ability to thread/install conduit and pull wire throughout the facility
• Read and understand electrical drawings
• Uses fluke electrical meters to test fuses, voltage, and motor windings
• Ability to troubleshoot and wire/unwire 3-phase electrical motors

Maintenance & Repairs

• Repairs and lubricates equipment.
• Ensures that work area, equipment, and vehicles are all neat, clean, and well maintained.

Other

• May work extended hours as requested by supervisor to meet project deadlines
• Uses all tools, equipment, and vehicles carefully and for their intended use.

• Checks the work area for hazards and corrects/reports unsafe conditions.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Electrical background is preferred
• Must be licensed and insurable to drive as there may be travel between locations
• One to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience with a good electrical/mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work in all types of environments, including but not limited to elevated areas (heights), dusty conditions, various weather conditions (hot to cold).
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Must be able to interact and effectively communicate with customers and individuals at all levels of the organization.
