Are you a strategic operator with a track record of leading high-performing teams in commercial construction or related industries?
Join Willoughby Construction as our Director of Operations and help us scale with precision, efficiency, and purpose.
We’re a growing commercial construction firm specializing in quick-service restaurant projects, with operations across the East Coast and Midwest. We’re looking for a hands-on leader with 10+ years of relevant experience who can take ownership of our operational systems and drive results.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee day-to-day operations for project management and job site teams
- Strengthen and implement SOPs to support ongoing growth and efficiency
- Collaborate closely with ownership and team leaders on strategic initiatives
- Ensure project deliverables are completed on time, on budget, and to quality standards
- Serve as an internal leader and external representative, upholding our company vision and values
- Lead procurement and materials/equipment management across projects
- Deliver timely reporting on operational performance
- Foster a team culture of accountability, adaptability, and excellence
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- 10+ years of operational leadership experience in a commercial construction, renovation, or manufacturing setting
- Proven ability to lead multiple teams and manage fast-paced, high-demand environments
- Strong communicator with natural leadership and problem-solving instincts
- Excellent organizational and process improvement skills
- Experience building or scaling operational systems is a major plus
- Bachelor's degree preferred

Compensation & Schedule:
- Salary: $100,000–$130,000 base plus performance incentives
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Location: Within driving distance of Hagerstown, MD. Full-time in-office presence required for the first 2 months; hybrid flexibility after.
