Job Summary
The Sr. Financial Planning & Analysis Manager provides business leaders and executives with analytical support and key business-decision activities. This role maintains information and reports financial data for business management and operating purposes, as well as liaises with executives to solve critical issues on behalf of the Finance team. This role partners closely with executives across business units to support financial goal achievement.
This role is based in Portland and requires a regular presence at our global headquarters (minimum three days per week).
Essential Functions
- Provides financial planning and analysis support for business leaders and executives through regular reporting and strategic guidance.
- Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing financial planning and analysis procedures.
- Executes the annual budgeting process for assigned business.
- Performs financial forecasting by working with department leaders to build budgets, forecasts, and global consolidation.
- Monitors and analyzes organization budgets.
- Performs periodic planning, forecasting, analysis, and reporting.
- Identifies, analyzes, and reports out on business trends and past results.
- Monitors financial progress against company strategic goals and KPIs.
- Reviews past and current financial performance against budgeted estimates and develops models that assist management in understanding the financial impact of business decisions.
- Partners with global finance teams to understand information pertaining to daily operations.
- Provides expertise and helps form controls for tracking expenses, revenue, and planning information.
- Reviews profitability of revenue streams and events and ensures alignment of expense forecasts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field required
- Master's Degree in Business Administration preferred
- Certification - CPA
- Seven (7) years of financial planning and analysis experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to clearly analyze and explain financial details and concepts in lay terms.
- Strong understanding of financial and valuation models.
- Superior attention to detail; high level of organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of management required.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a changing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Travel - up to 10% of the time
Base Salary: $145,260 - $161,400 yearly
This range represents the low and high ends of the anticipated base salary range for this position. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and location.
