JOB TITLE: Fleet Support Technician
DEPARTMENT: Operations
JOB STATUS: Non-Exempt
PAY RANGE: $21-$26 hourly (Pay is based on education and years of experience.)
REPORTS TO: VP of Fleet
DIRECT REPORTS: Yes

JOB SUMMARY
CrossCountry Freight Solutions is looking for a Fleet Support Technician. They will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of Fleet Maintenance, in accordance with Company Policies/Procedures and applicable State and Federal Laws.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Communicate with Operations and Fleet Managers of any vehicles out of service.
- Determine if repairs are needed and schedules with vendors.
- Ensure in-house repairs are scheduled for timely completion - if needed the first priority is to assist the technician on in-house repairs.
- Collect all repair invoices after completion of repair.
- Complete monthly form and submit to Fleet Services
- Ensure required vehicle paperwork is updated as needed.
- Ensure emergency response guidebook is in all vehicles.
- Ensure Vehicle Accident pouches are kept in stock.
- Communicate with other operations personnel to resolve operational and fleet issues.
- Available to meet with Operations Supervisor on a regular basis to review service center needs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication (written and verbal), analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry. Ability to recognize facility and vehicle maintenance problems.
- Significant problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
