Job Description

Status: Part-Time Hourly FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Summary of the Position: Employment Instructor provide comprehensive support for students participating in the Summer Work Program through the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR).

Required daytime hours to support youth during the summer work programming.

  • Employer Engagement- Proactively reach out to and meet with local employers to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships
  • Participant Support- Foster supportive and trusting relationships with program participants, guiding them through their employment journey.
  • Job Proposal Preparation- Assist in putting together employment proposals and negotiating job opportunities that align with participant's skills and career goals.
  • Compliance- Ensure all activities and processes comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Skills Development- Provide training to enhance participant's job readiness and interviewing skills, preparing them for successful employment.

This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, and activity reimbursement.

Hourly Rate: $30 per hour face-to-face and $17.00 per hour non-face to face

Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's degree is preferred. High School or GED required.

  • Minimum one year of paid experience working with young adults and at risk youth.
  • Previous experience working with vocational rehabilitation or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
  • Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
  • Familiarity with job development, job coaching, and employment support a plus.
  • Strong communications skills
  • Excellent organization skills, ability to multi-task, and maintain compliance.
  • Problem-Solving skills to address challenges.

Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage.
