Job Description
Department: Nutrition Services
Work Hours: Full-time, Flexible shifts between 6 a.m. start to a 10:30 a.m. start
Prepares, serves, and coordinates patient and non-patient services as needed or scheduled according to their specialized area (Special Functions, Salad Pantry, Patient Prep, Café Cook, Deli). Must function in a lead capacity, controlling their specialized area in menus, forecasting, actual usage, utilization, cost control, and delegation. Collaborates with management on new ideas and development resulting in improved marketing, cost savings, and quality customer service.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED. Management training and/or skills with at least 3 years of experience in high volume restaurant, hotel, country club, multi-service institution. Knowledge of sanitation inclusive of but not limited to temperature control, food borne illness prevention, etc. Math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and conversions needed daily.
Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable.
Preferred
Graduate from a two-year A.O.S. culinary program, or from an accredited food service management or restaurant management course.
