Job Description

Crossroads Health provides a continuum of quality life-changing behavioral health and specialized chemical dependency treatment services to children, adolescents, young adults, adults and families. As a leader in the behavioral health field, we offer a vast array of programs and services that evaluate, educate, strengthen and support thousands of children, adults and their families each year.

The Accounting Assistant provides vital support to the Finance Department by performing a variety of accounting tasks related to cash inflows and outflows. This position is primarily responsible for processing accounts payable, assisting with miscellaneous accounts receivable activities, recording deposits, and completing related journal entries and reconciliations within the organization's ERP system.

Essential Duties:

  • Accounts payable invoices and vendor statements.
  • Record and apply incoming payments in the ERP system; Make bank deposit at bank as needed; generate miscellaneous invoices.
  • Assist with month, quarter, and year-end close activities; support financial reporting by preparing and submitting journal entries; assist with audit preparation and support

 Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED required. Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
  • Two (2) to Five (5) years of finance / accounting, accounts payable/receivable experience
  • Two (2) years of experience in a fast past accounting office, nonprofit is preferred.
  • Three (3) years demonstrated proficiency in Excel (pivot tables)
  • Two (2) to Five (5) years of demonstrated proficiency in Blackbaud, Oracle, NetSuite, SAGE Intacct, or QuickBooks
  • Excellent team working skills with a positive personality very desirable.
