Job Description
Summit Medical Group is recruiting for a EHR Support Analyst. This is a full time position that will provide implementation support, user guidance, user education, and educational materials for applications of Summit Medical Group, including but not limited to Athena and Allscripts Touchworks Electronic Health Records (EHR).
Examples of Duties (List does not include all duties assigned)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written) are required.
- Ability to troubleshoot application problems.
- Provider user support on EHR and be experienced with Athena EHR.
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office is required through a minimum of 2 years utilization of Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience in the development of Microsoft PowerPoint a plus.
- Functional knowledge, and the ability to train others, in the use of PC's and the Windows operating system is required.
- The position will be required to travel to site locations in order to perform the required duties and requires the individual be insurable.
- The position requires the use of one's personal vehicle to convey themselves to the sites. Reimbursement of mileage will be provided.
- Travel will be required from time to time for seminars, non-Summit site visits, and user conferences as needed.
- The position requires after hours and weekend support as necessary.
- Participates in professional development activities to keep current with health care trends and practices.
- At all times represents Summit Medical Group with professionalism to public, vendors, physicians, etc.
- Continually displays exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Reports for work at time scheduled and is regular in attendance.
- Continual education of both existing and new products including software and workflows.
- Conducts centralized and onsite application support and/or training.
- Manages the Learning Management System (LMS) or other e-learning systems.
- Adheres to all appropriate aspects of the corporate compliance program.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality.
- Actively participates in site-level Quality Improvement Activities. Each employee will contribute to the continual evaluation site performance as well as the implementation and measurement of improvement activities that increase the quality of care provided to patients.
- Performs related work as assigned.
Education
Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: BSN, Education/Teaching, Information Technology, other related IT or Clinical fields, and/or equivalent on the job experience as manifested through a minimum of three (3) years hands-on work in the field of implementing and supporting EHR applications required.
Experience
Five years experiential knowledge of clinical and non-clinical healthcare operations and managerial or supervisory experience is desirable. Experience or education in adult learning and/or instructional design.
