Job Description
Talent Consultants is seeking an experienced EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Manager to ensure that our client operates in compliance with all regulatory requirements while maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for all employees. The EHS Manager will develop, implement, and oversee environmental health and safety programs across the organization, working closely with various departments to foster a proactive EHS culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of EHS regulations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead training initiatives that promote safety awareness. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Compile and analyze EHS data and metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide training and education to employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with management to develop risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate and participate in safety meetings and promote a culture of safety within the organization.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and ensure timely reporting and compliance.
- Stay updated on emerging EHS regulations and best practices to maintain compliance and improve workplace safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management or a related role.
- Knowledge of EHS regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage employees at all levels.
- Experience conducting training sessions and developing EHS programs.
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or similar certification is preferred.
- Proficient in EHS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
