Job Description
LotusWorks is seeking an experiencedElectrical Construction Manager to lead field execution of electrical systems for a high-tech semiconductor manufacturing facility in Boise, Idaho. This role will be responsible for managing subcontractors, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and delivering electrical construction milestones on schedule and within budget. The Electrical Construction Manager will work closely with engineering, commissioning, and operations teams to ensure all electrical infrastructure is installed to meet the highest standards of reliability and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all electrical construction activities, including installation of low, medium, and high-voltage distribution systems, switchgear, MCCs, UPS, generators, transformers, and grounding systems.
- Direct and coordinate subcontractors and craft labor to ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Drive construction schedules, manpower planning, and resource allocation to maintain project milestones.
- Review single-line diagrams, electrical design documents, and submittals to validate scope accuracy and execution.
- Ensure strict adherence to EHS protocols, OSHA requirements, NFPA 70E, and site-specific safety programs.
- Collaborate with QA/QC teams to ensure proper inspections, testing, and documentation of electrical systems.
- Interface with engineering, commissioning, and client representatives to align construction progress with system turnover requirements.
- Lead daily/weekly construction meetings, provide reporting on progress, and escalate risks/issues as needed.
- Maintain accurate field documentation, red-lines, and turnover packages for commissioning and operations.
- Support troubleshooting and issue resolution during construction and pre-commissioning phases.
Skills Required:
- 8–12+ years of electrical construction experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership/management role.
- Strong background in semiconductor, data center, or mission-critical facilities.
- Proven track record of managing subcontractors, cost, and schedule performance.
- Deep knowledge of electrical distribution systems (480V–13.8kV+), switchgear, UPS, and generators.
- Familiarity with construction management software (Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project) and electrical testing procedures.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams.
Education / Licenses / Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience accepted.
