Electrical Construction Senior Project Manager

Senior Project Manager's in our Federal Group leads the project team and has overall accountability for completing assigned construction projects successfully. The Senior Project Manager is fully responsible for cultivating opportunities for future construction projects by providing excellent customer service, injury free environment by ensuring safe work practices, maintaining quality assurance, and building a financially successful project. The Senior Project Manager typically oversees 10 active projects and acts as the primary with Project Mangers and Assistant Project Managers reporting to them

Duties and responsibilities include the following:

1. Managing all business aspects of multiple concurrent projects, typically $10 million annually and ensuring financial targets are met while maintaining established quality standards.
2. Completes Pre-Job tasks such as Viewpoint Pre-Job checklists, meetings, and EC Contract content review.
3. Review obtain signatures from General Contractor to include non-disclosure, vendor and supplier agreements.
4. Develop and communicate the project execution plan to necessary parties.
5. Create and review project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project
6. Ensure project safety and quality is properly incorporated into job planning and execution
7. Establish the work plan and staffing for each phase of project fully understanding project scope and potential risks.
8. Accountable for contract management, claims and disputes resolutions.
9. Work with Estimating department to review estimates, RECAPS and turnover as well as the ability to estimate and procure electrical projects in a competitive market successfully.
10. Acts as a mentor for new and existing project managers as well as assistant project managers on their team.
11. Actively maintaining customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and quality of service.
12. Understand general contractor’s (GC) cost reporting and management plan, proactively communicating GC expectations.
13. Acts as a liaison with the customer and project staff to properly identify and process scope changes, address issues and communicate with GC regarding project milestones, etc.
14. Manages project related correspondence and documents through designated document management systems.
15. Develop and maintain EC Electric resource loaded master schedule.
16. Set cash flow goals, update schedule of values and establish check signer for emergencies.
17. Generate MOP’s and review detailed three-week look ahead schedule for projects.
18. Ensure Project Managers are actively managing crew composite factor by comparing budgeted numbers to actual.
19. Understand and follow GC’s master control program with regards to documents.
20. Create construction estimate to align with project workflow and customers master schedule.
21. Complete project audit checklists and retain with other vital project documents.
22. Regularly coordinate owner/GC weekly meetings to ensure ongoing open communication.
23. Oversight of OFCI equipment tracking, EC equipment receiving and quality control plan and management.
24. Accurate monthly financial forecasting for all projects.
25. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proven ability to manage large-scale and Federal Projects
• Proficient in contract negotiations and financial forecasting
• High Leadership acumen
• Experience leading cross-functional teams
• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• OSHA certification or similar safety training credentials

Benefits

Salary range for this position is $130,000-$185,000 annually.
