Electrical Controls Drafter Humble, TXFounded in January 2005, ACE Controls brings over two decades of combined expertise in control panel design, fabrication, and integration. We specialize in serving the Water & Wastewater, Food & Beveragesectors, and partnering with manufacturers of process equipment; pumps, compressors, blowers,conveyors, mixers, and clarifiers. Our deep knowledge of our industry and commitment to quality make us a trusted resource for precision engineered control systems.As an Electrical Controls Drafter, you will be responsible for designing electrical control panels, creating detailed schematics, and ensuring all systems meet industry standards and client requirements. This position requires an in-depth understanding of electrical design principles, control systems, and a commitment to delivering precise, high-quality designs for our clientsKey Responsibilities

Design electrical control panels, including layout drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure designs align with client specifications and project schedules.
Ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise, and engaging manner across diverse audiences and formats.
Conduct load calculations, select components, and perform circuit analysis for control systems.
Ensure all designs comply with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Create detailed drawings and documentation using design software AutoCAD Electrical.
Coordinate with the manufacturing team to support accurate control panel assembly.
Update existing designs to accommodate system upgrades or client-requested changes.
Maintain organized and accurate design documentation for future reference.
Remain current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications

Degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field
2 years minimum experience as a Control Panel Designer / Drafter or similar role.
Proficient experience with AutoCAD Electrical required
Strong understanding of control systems, electrical components, and wiring standards.
Knowledge of electrical codes, including NEC and UL, as well as applicable safety standards.
Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, relays, circuit breakers, and control panel components.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and MS Project
