Electrical Design Manager (Level K)

The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Design Manager (Level K) to join our BCA Long Beach Engineering team located in Long Beach, CA.

Position Overview:

The first level manager position in Long Beach, CA will lead a broad skilled Electrical Design team that primarily supports Commercial Airplanes production. The leader must be able to build and maintain relationships across the production value stream, including peers in engineering operations, supply chain and manufacturing. In addition, the leader of this position must also build relationships and collaborate across the Long Beach Engineering Electrical Function teams, sharing resources and opportunities to enable strength of the entire team.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage professional employees performing engineering and technical tasks in the areas of Electronic and Electrical Engineering

  • Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and set operational goals.

  • Acquire resources for projects and processes, including budget and staffing.

  • Provides technical management of suppliers.

  • Provides leadership and oversight of technical approaches, products, and processes.

  • Most importantly, lead, develop, and motivate employees.

Work Authorization:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.(Long Beach, CA)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams: manager, temporary supervisor, or engineering lead.

  • 3+ years of experience working within Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working development and sustaining programs.

  • Experience working with systems engineering principles

  • Experience working directly with Boeing suppliers and customers

  • Experience leading and mentoring large engineering teams

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of work time.

Summary Pay Range:

$147,050 - $198,950
