Job Description

Design and test electrical components, equipment, and systems.

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Compile and analyze operational, test and research data to establish Acceptance Test Standard for newly
  • designed or modified equipment.
  • Prepare or direct preparation of product and system layout, schematics, and detail drawings.
  • Design electrical equipment using digital, analog and microprocessor based electronic components for
  • military and commercial environments.
  • Schematic creation, wire run lists, and familiarity with various electronic and electrical components
  • including mounting methods, heat sinking and location on printed circuit boards.
  • Coordinate and perform as necessary operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing when building prototypes.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work
  • environment.
  • Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization(AS9100/ISO) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESN/A

  • AS9100/ISO SPECIFIC DUTIES
  • Be familiar with and understand Atec Quality Policy and company objectives.
  • Understand required AS9100/ISO specific Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Complete all records required by Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Participate in Atec Improvement Machine (AIM) as appropriate.
  • Participate in AS9100/ISO training as required.
  • Cooperate with Auditors.
  • Report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.
  • EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering from four-year college or university; or one to two yearsof experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience.
