We are looking for a Helper who wants to become an Elevator Mechanic in Myrtle Beach, SC!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with troubleshooting elevator malfunctions (hydraulic, traction, MRL systems)
- Perform minor repairs, part swaps, and diagnostic testing under supervision
- Carry tools, hoist equipment, and prepare work areas for inspections or repairs
- Support the mechanic during elevator shut-downs, resets, and safety tests
- Maintain accurate service records and daily logs
- Communicate clearly with customers and internal dispatch
Qualifications:

Required:
- 3+ years' experience in mechanical, electrical, or alarm system installation/repair
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, or maintenance manuals
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must pass background check and drug screening

Preferred:
- Electrical experience – power and hand tools
- Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures and OSHA safety standards
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Desire to pursue a career in the elevator trade (apprenticeship path available)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Comfortable working in tight shafts, rooftops, and mechanical rooms
- Stand, kneel, or climb for extended periods
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
