Job Description
Summary/Objective: The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety in a fast-paced operational environment.Essential Functions:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Perform a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy
- Diagnose electrical issues using testing devices such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and multimeters.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- Installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled systems and other automated equipment (if applicable).
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and service logs.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to support mechanical repairs when needed.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production interruptions.

- High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training in electrical maintenance preferred.
- Journeyman Electrician License (minimum requirement to perform unsupervised electrical maintenance).
- Minimum 3–5 years of electrical maintenance and Journeymen Electrician experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or warehouse setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with PLC programming and industrial automation systems (a plus).
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E, OSHA standards, and applicable electrical codes.
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.
