Job Description
Come join our Failure Analysis Lab as an Electronics Associate Scientist! We are an inquisitive group, analyzing component failures to determine root cause and prevent future failures for our customers and manufacturing team. We troubleshoot component failures using a variety of methods, ranging from functional testing in our electronics laboratory, to destructive testing in our failure analysis laboratory. If you are a natural problem solver and have a solid electronics background, we would love to have you help us find the root cause of every defect!
As an Electronics Associate Scientist, a typical day might include the following:
Leading technicians with troubleshooting and characterizing electrical and mechanical components based on data sheets and drawing specifications.
Guiding technicians in developing test methods and techniques for electrical evaluation. Training quality specialists and technicians as required.
Operating measurement equipment such as curve tracers, oscilloscopes, and digital multi-meters.
Preparing, conducting, and documenting reliability testing, under the guidance of an experienced technician or engineer.
Using x-ray system, LCR meters, Oscilloscopes, other electronics equipment, and optical microscopes in support of component troubleshooting.
Assisting engineers.
This job might be for you if:
You have in-depth knowledge of analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits.
You have in-depth knowledge of mechanical drawings, data sheets, specifications, and materials.
You are skilled with modern test equipment.
You have excellent problem-solving skills.
You have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Familiarity with programing languages (C, C++, python, etc.)
Experience with computer equipment and operating systems
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in an Electronics Discipline
2-3 years of experience in electronics
Working knowledge of electronic failure analysis
Working knowledge of reliability testing methods

Pay Range Data
Electronics Associate Scientist, $84,240 - $124,461. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience, and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
