Extropic is hiring an Embedded Design Engineer to help accelerate the development of our next-generation probabilistic hardware and supporting software systems.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a startup environment, who is looking to take ownership of product areas. The ideal candidate is passionate about building excellent embedded systems and enjoys working close to the metal.
Skills that are relevant to the job include
- Developing RTL for FPGAs and contributing to high-performance digital designs
- Writing low-level firmware in C++ for embedded systems
- Hands-on experience with scopes and logic analyzers
- Familiarity with standard hardware protocols (SPI,I2C,USB,PCIe,JESD,UART)
- Writing technical documents including documentation and specs
Useful but not necessary skills include
- Programming in VHDL and/or Verilog
- Handling and debugging complex integrated systems
- Probing and testing integrated circuits
$90,000 - $200,000 a year
Pay includes equity. Salary and equity compensation will vary wildly with experience level. Substantial equity is available for highly skilled and motivated individuals.
