Position Highlights
Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.
Join our team of Emergency Services staff in our brand new Emergency Department which opened August 2025!
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients to care
- Complete patient registration process
- Coordinate unit communications
- Promote atmosphere of calmness and professionalism
- Tasks as directed by Emergency Room staff
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills
- Caring attitude and team player
- Ability to multi task
- Handle stressful situations
- HS Diploma or equivalent; computer skills; medical experience preferred
Schedule:
- Part time benefit eligible - 48 hours a pay period
- 12 hour day and night shift: 5:30a-6p and 5:30p-6a
- Weekend and Holiday rotation
- Schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
