Job Description:

The role of the Energy Information Center Manager will be to manage the Center for Energy Studies' (CES's) Energy Information Center (EIC). The EIC, housed within and managed by the Center for Energy Studies (CES), was established with the inception of the Center in 1982. It includes the Dalton J. Woods Auditorium, energy library, rotunda, and multiple conference rooms. This position will also manage CES's website, be responsible for documenting historical archive of all CES activities, and the Louisiana Energy News application.

Job Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of Energy Information Center (EIC) including library and the maintenance of CES bibliography and energy web pages. Respond to requests for data, papers, articles and other forms of information. Supervise the Energy Outreach Coordinator. (40%)

Collaborate with the Executive Director and Director of Energy Education & Outreach to manage CES education and outreach programs, including overseeing the work of the Energy Outreach Coordinator in the development of educational materials, organizing community events, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring the effective dissemination of energy-related information and resource plans. (20%)

Manage and implement the program initiatives and strategies of the DOE funded project, especially regarding the project's community benefits plan component, including coordinating and tracking project activities, ensuring compliance with DOE guidelines, coordinating schedules and timelines, and preparing necessary documentation and reports; address and mitigate issues that arise within the project. (20%)

Collaborate with technical staff to keep an up to date and comprehensive database of CES stakeholders and their involvement in CES programs and events. Manage promoting the work conducted by the staff of CES including crafting and disseminating content as needed. Stay informed about updates/changes to institutional and/or regulatory policies/procedures. (15%)

Other duties as assigned. (5%)

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience.
