Job Description

Title: Engineer-Emissions Compliance Reporting

Key Accountabilities:

  • Perform engineering development test activities such as emission and combustion measurements.
  • Complete emission project work including communicating and interfacing with the corresponding departments in Friedrichshafen Germany and locally.
  • Establish an efficient cross functional network in order to successfully accomplish project work in conjunction with the appropriate counterparts at our corporate headquarters in Friedrichshafen Germany.
  • Stay abreast of the latest emission legislation and actively participate in Regulatory meetings to keep the emissions and measurement solutions to the regulatory conformance.
  • Assist in leading overall communication, coordinate and consult with engineering departments and customers
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate measurement technology projects
  • Assist with Noise and Vibration measurements by working with experts in Friedrichshafen
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate after treatment system development activities, including compiling and exchanging related data with Friedrichshafen.
  • Provide management with regular reports on project work plans, continuous improvement activities and resource management
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct.
  • Perform special projects as required.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering and minimum of 5 years of experience in emission measurement technology, data acquisition, compiling measurement data and test of internal combustion engines; or 9 years of experience in emission measurement technology, data acquisition, compiling measurement data and test of internal combustion engines.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of the principles and operation of emission measurement and after treatment technology
  • Knowledge of the principles and operation of internal combustion engines including Exhaust Gas Recirculation, SCR aftertreatment and influence on Emission Measurement Equipment.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently with others
  • Good analytical and problem-solving ability, when problems are complex
  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines
  • Good presentation skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel - domestic and international
  • Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite
  • MTU product knowledge
  • Experience with AVL emission equipment and interface with AVL automation systems.
  • Experience with AVL Indicom systems.
  • German language skills
