Job Description
About the Role
We’re looking for an Engineering Lead to build, guide, and grow a high-caliber team of builders. This is a hybrid role for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution — you’ll be in the code daily and helping drive technical direction, unblocking the team, and mentoring engineers as we scale.
You'll work closely with the CTO to shape the roadmap and make key technical decisions. If you love solving hard problems, coaching great engineers, and shipping fast, this is for you.
Responsibilities
Lead technical direction, make architecture decisions, and guide the team toward scalable solutions
Hands on development, leading by example
Mentor and grow engineers -- from interns to senior team members
Foster a strong engineering culture rooted in ownership and velocity
Qualifications
Proven experience leading engineering teams (formally or informally) in a high-growth environment
Track record of building products with real users at scale
Strong fullstack engineering background — depth matters more than years
Experience with AI/LLM-powered applications and modern web frameworks and deployment tools (e.g., Next.js, Vercel, Railway)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Startup-oriented mindset: you can operate without a playbook and you thrive in ambiguity
Bonus
Prior experience hiring and building teams from scratch
Open source contributions or deep technical blog writing
