Job Description Summary

The Engineering Leader for Inspection Technologies will be responsible for the leadership of a global team of inspection engineers and specialists to execute projects supporting GE Vernova organizations. The leader will be responsible for developing sound strategic plans and priorities to improve safety, quality, cycle, and cost to meet our obligations in customer fulfilment, outage support, Tx, and NPI execution. This person will lead manage the AMRT Inspection projects through coordination with internal and external customers supporting GEV new unit and services technology quality and productivity initiatives. In this role you will coordinate with the various infrastructure teams to drive the industrialization of inspection technologies across the network of customers we support in GE Vernova.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the global industrialization of inspection technologies supporting multiple sites throughout the globe.
  • Lead using the Lean Methodologies and GE Vernova Leadership Principles
  • Provide guidance for engineers and specialists in the execution of design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
  • Recommend approaches to meet the technical and program requirements
  • Formulate strategy and implement plans to achieve business goals and directives.
  • Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems
  • Provide leadership to other personnel and mentor others in the organization
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments using internal organizational tools, engineering, and customer platforms.
  • Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasks

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree of Science in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university
  • 8 years of progressive experience or prior leadership roles
  • Willingness and ability to travel both domestic and international 15%

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience leading a team.
  • Working knowledge of Inspection Technologies.
  • Knowledge of special processes, such as brazing, welding, machining, chemical cleaning, coating, and tooling design and manufacturing
  • Masters degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Business, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
  • Additional experience in manufacturing, design, component repair for Industrial gas turbine, steam turbines, generators, or Aero engines
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $111,200.00 and $185,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
