Job Description

[What the role is]

To guide discovery and WoG product teams on tech solutioning and provide tech advisory.

[What you will be working on]

As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the solutioning and product solution fit analysis of major digital products in MCCY. The digital products will include Whole-of-Government(WoG) digital services supporting the identification, enageement and growth of Youth netowrks to contribute and lead meaningful civic actions.

Engineering Managers make sure that the right technologies are applied for our digital solutions and services to meet the business and policy outcomes. You will be working closely with the Product and Ops managers from conceptualisation, experimentation until delivery and scaling of the digital solution and services.

[What we are looking for]

  • Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Infocomm Technology, Engineering or related subject area with minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Candidates with more years of experience will be considered for more senior roles
  • Prior working experience in product management, IT business analysis, application solutioning design and testing
  • Experience in modern product development/management technologies and practices such as Agile, Cloud, Design Thinking, and Product-Centric Development will be strongly preferred.
  • Working directly with engineers, designers and other product managers (ideally at least 3 years).
  • Strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills with the ability to pitch ideas and influence
  • A driven and motivated personality with an inquisitive mind
  • Ability to learn and apply

  • Relevant certifications such as Professional certification in product management, CITPM, COMIT, PMP, and Certified Scrum Master.
