Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical development and guidance to application engineers in product design, recommendation, or evaluation. Ensure customer test reports are technically accurate and professionally produced. Additionally, provide the same level of technical development and guidance to the quality team.
- Manage and support staff to serve as technical liaison between the customer and all aspects of Freudenberg-NOK work in conjunction with sales as an extension of product design, quality control, manufacturing, and marketing.
- Direct interaction with the customer to promote value selling; thoroughly understand Freudenberg-NOK capabilities so that conceptual solutions to customers’ problems can be developed and manufactured.
- Support existing business through failure analysis, quality control, and system surveys.
- Ensure adequate root cause analysis, and corrective actions are being performed to meet customer expectations.
- Seek out and develop new product applications through preparation/presentation of technical information.
- Manage supplier performance on technical quoting and failure analysis.
- Support outside sales at the customer and provide technical advice and guidance regarding product selection, capability/limitation, installation recommendations, and failure analysis.
- Maintain and support new and ongoing application testing in the application test lab.
- Maintain incoming inspection performance to ensure customer delivery expectations are met.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation for all customer product certification including PPAP documentation.
- Oversee the maintenance of the quality management system in accordance with IAFT standards.
- Process inquiries, manage multiple projects at multiple customers, and provide internal and external training seminars.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer or similar degree; advanced degree preferred or compensating years of experience
- 5+ years of industry-relevant experience
- 3+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Relevant certifications, system experience, and training
- Professional-Level English language skills preferred
- Working knowledge of tooling processes and high degree of mechanical aptitude
- 3D modeling experience in Solidworks or similar CAD software
