Job Description
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Engineering Team Lead – Cabinet (Structural Design) manages and guides the cabinet engineering team (2-4 employees). The role is responsible for the design of structures for environmental test chambers and provides leadership in engineering execution, technical direction, and personnel development. This position ensures that cabinet designs meet all required specifications for performance, quality, and manufacturability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - SUMMARY
- Performs detailed design and modeling of environmental test chambers using Autodesk Inventor, including creation of fabrication drawings and assembly layouts.
- Ensures designs meet industry standards and reviews engineering documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborates with other departments, including Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality, to align design with operational needs.
- Participates in project planning and design reviews.
- Leads root cause analysis for design or production issues.
- Identifies and implements design improvements for performance, cost reduction, and reliability.
- Maintains and updates internal design standards and engineering practices.
- Develops tools and processes to improve team.
Annual Salary: $85,000 to $105,000 per year
