In the role of Intern Environmental, we'll count on you to:
- Offer real-world experience on exciting projects
- Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals' programs
- Perform other duties as needed
- Work on diverse remedial engineering projects that will range from general field support during investigation/construction and soil/groundwater/air sampling to technical work that requires strong communication skills
- Have knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Assist junior engineers in environmental remediation projects involving feasibility studies, pre-design investigation, remedial design, remedial action, and post construction activities.
- Complete project subtasks that have clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
- Interpret data (chemical analyses and historical investigation data) and summarize it in tables, charts, and maps.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2.5 years completed toward a degree with a minimum of 3.0 GPA
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to the field of study/industry
- Preference is given to local candidates
- Strong commitment to safety, including following health and safety protocols
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding sampling tasks in adverse environmental conditions (rugged terrain, remote locations, hot and cold temperatures).
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate environmental science, biology, environmental Engineering or related program
- Attention to detail
- Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
