Sanimax is looking to hire an Environmental Operator- Wastewater Technician for our Green Bay location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  • Monitor and perform daily tests including pH levels of scrubbers, MLSS (solids) levels, chemical feed rates, etc.
  • Perform visual inspections of DAFs, aeration tank, and scrubber flows
  • Monitor chemical feed systems for leaks, air locking, or other issues
  • Assist maintenance in troubleshooting repairs
  • Maintain cleanliness of all responsible areas: chemical feed room, wastewater facility, effluent area in plant, scrubber areas, etc.
  • Conduct sampling and testing as required by regulatory permits
  • Monitor wastewater system and adjust the parameters as required

Qualifications:

  • Must have 3 years of experience working as a wastewater technician in an animal rendering facility on specific equipment including packed bed wet air scrubbers, venturi scrubbers, DAFs (dissolved air floatation), and an aeration tank, or similar experience.
  • Must also have the ability to consistently perform duties, for extended periods, in a challenging work environment, including exposure to high heat, cold, strong odors, and dust.
  • Must have technical or professional education, certification or license in environmental sampling analysis or similar.
  • Must have technical or professional education, certification or license in water potabilization systems operation or similar.
