Job Description
- Characterize and properly dispose of waste for the site and maintain CFR49 certification.
- Completes inspections of waste accumulation areas according to regulations.
- Pack, label, store, move, and manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials prior to disposal.
- Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums and other containers according to RCRA and site disposal guidelines.
- Perform neutralization reaction of waste material to ensure chemical stability prior to transport.
- Conduct hazardous waste system inspections and maintain records according to RCRA regulations and site standards.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses, such as field sampling, testing, and measuring.
- Load hazardous and non-hazardous waste onto trucks or tankers, using hoists, forklifts, or other industrial equipment.
- Assist in the installation and set-up of instruments and equipment.
- Monitor and operate SCADA or other human-machine interface applications.
- Perform preventative maintenance on waste chemical collection equipment and support troubleshooting activities.
- Provide input to work procedures and JHAs to improve processes and safety.
- Intermediate PC skills including a familiarity with MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to be respiratory certified
- Become and maintain current CFR49 certification
- Relevant degree or appropriate certifications/licensing.
- Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree.
