Job Description

Job Summary:

Under the minimal supervision of a manager or director and according to established policy and procedures, the Analyst III performs complex system analysis, design, integration, testing, implementation, maintenance and planning of assigned applications and/or projects. Directly interacts with assigned department managers and staff to provide automation services in support of department's strategic and operational objectives. Plans, coordinates, develops and provides appropriate training for managers and users. Ensures development of training materials, production of continuity workbooks, documentation of standard operating procedures and user checklists. Serves as the contact and liaison with user community and vendor. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of TGH. Participates in department and hospital task forces, focus groups and/or committees as assigned by their supervisor to meet the group objectives. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain oncology workflows and/or infusion centers and best practices within the EHR.

  • Collaborate with oncology and pharmacy leadership to understand and design system to account for legal and regulatory needs/changes.

  • Analyze and solution business problems and goals to continually improve outcomes, patient experience, gain operational efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Support automation and third party systems within various practice settings (Automated dispensing devices, dispensing robots, infusion pumps, etc).

  • Involvement in new/ongoing build for expanding Oncology Service Line (inpatient and outpatient settings) such as but not limited to Oncology Research, BMT and Cellular Therapy, Pediatric Oncology.

  • System maintenance (Treatment protocols, medication build, accreditation requirements, ongoing system enhancements, decision support, system mappings). Resolution of break/fix (on call rotation).

  • B.S. degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree from accredited College of Pharmacy.

  • Pharmacy Practice Residency or equivalent training/ experience.

  • Current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of Florida.

  • One (1) year prior experience in a hospital or related experience with clinical pharmacy or 3-5 years of experience in a hospital/infusion-based pharmacy setting.

Preferred Experience:

  • Clinical informatics experience or 3-5 years of experience in a hospital/infusion-based pharmacy setting.
  • Epic Beacon Certification (or proficiency) and Willow Inpatient certification (or proficiency).
  • Must demonstrate the following attributes: analytical and critical thinking skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to thrive in an ever-changing environment, work and learn independently as well as collaboratively in a team, and excellent communication and customer service abilities
