Overview
Job Description
- Operates, maintains, and performs minor upgrade projects on mechanical systems. This includes doing the monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual PMs and fixing any operational and maintenance issues that occur on the mechanical system.
- Responsible for performing repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of building and facility equipment, fixtures, and systems.
- Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains a wide variety of facility plumbing, mechanical, heating, and cooling systems.
- Conducts preventative maintenance inspections and performs required preventative maintenance duties. Assignments are semi-routine in nature. Work performed within generally defined parameters. Some degree of judgment is required in resolving nonstandard problems.
- Receives general instructions and reviews of job plans for all work.
- Knowledge of the mechanical systems such as exhaust, chillers, boilers, air handlers, compressors, etc, operation.
- Experience performing general industrial mechanical work, including instrument calibrations.
- Written and verbal communication skills. Organization and time management skills.
- Able to adhere to a stringent environmental compliance culture and willing to work a compressed work week schedule.
- Work in clean room environments, must be able to wear PPE and air air-supplied respirator, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, and gloves.
- Operate a PIT forklift, pallet jack, and spend a considerable part of your day working in a mobile environment.
- Must have HVAC certification
- 1 to 3 years of experience in: Facilities, preventative, and corrective maintenance.
