About Master’s Landscape Design
Master's Landscape Design is a premier landscape company serving the Nashville area, dedicated to delivering exceptional outdoor living experiences. We are launching a new Design Services division focused on proactive plant health care and creative landscape enhancements.
Why This Role Rocks
We are seeking a versatile Estate Garden Manager to grow this new division. This role combines technical plant health care, sales, creative upselling, and hands-on fieldwork. You will provide expert guidance without performing traditional maintenance or mowing. There is strong potential for advancement to management as this division expands.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage ongoing plant health care visits (weekly/monthly) targeting disease, pest control, and water management tailored to microclimates
- Conduct inspections and recommend flower bed upgrades and landscape enhancements
- Serve as a trusted advisor educating clients on plant health and landscape improvements
- Identify and upsell enhancement opportunities to increase client value
- Drive sales growth through account management and closing new contracts
- Perform field services personally while developing operational processes for the division
- Collaborate with leadership to scale the division and build future teams
- Maintain accurate service records, client communications, and CRM documentation
The Ideal You
- Bachelor's degree in Horticulture or related field preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in plant health care, landscape design, and/or operations management
- Chemical Applicator’s License
- Proven knowledge in pest/disease control and microclimate management
- Working knowledge of plant hardiness in zones specific to Middle Tennessee
- Strong communication and consultative sales skills with a track record of success
- Creative thinker able to tailor designs to client preferences and site conditions
- Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions
- Experience with CRM and service documentation tools
- Ability to multitask across sales, design, and fieldwork responsibilities
- Interest in growing into a leadership role as the division expands
Performance Metrics
- Sales growth and new accounts acquired
- Customer satisfaction and referral rates
- Effectiveness of plant health care treatments and upsell conversions
- Consistency of service delivery and documentation
- Balance of personal fieldwork alongside supervisory duties as the division scales
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting salary: $65,000 per year, based on experience
- Commission: 7% 10% of gross profit from sold accounts and upsells
