Executive Director – Rhode Island Manufacturers Association (RIMA)

The Rhode Island Manufacturers Association (RIMA) is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as its next Executive Director. This role offers the opportunity to represent and strengthen Rhode Island's 1,600 manufacturers while advancing policies and programs that drive growth, innovation, and competitiveness.

About RIMA RIMA is the unified voice of Rhode Island manufacturers. Headquartered in Smithfield, RIMA advocates at the federal, state, and local levels for sensible policy solutions while connecting members with the resources they need to thrive.

Mission

The mission of the Rhode Island Manufacturers Association is to be the unified voice of the Ocean State's 1,600 manufacturers. We advocate at the federal, state, and local levels for sensible policy solutions that strengthen manufacturing, and serve as a bridge connecting our members with the resources they need to compete and grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow membership, enhance retention, and deliver strong ROI for members.
  • Develop sponsorships, grants, and partnerships to expand funding.
  • Lead state and federal advocacy efforts, serving as a trusted voice for manufacturing.
  • Guide members on emerging technologies, Industry 4.0, and workforce initiatives.
  • Build strategic partnerships with government, academia, and community stakeholders.
  • Oversee staff, budget, and operations with accountability and transparency.
  • Represent RIMA in the media, at public forums, and through member communications.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' professional experience in manufacturing or manufacturing operations.
  • Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in association management, nonprofit administration, government, or related fields.
  • Proven success in membership growth, fundraising, and advocacy.
  • Strong communication, financial management, and coalition-building skills.

Compensation Competitive salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
