Job Description
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment, including crushers, loaders, dump trucks, and conveyor systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in a wide range of heavy-duty equipment.
- Conduct inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly and safely.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Adhere to all safety standards and best practices while working on machinery.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment when required.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices for equipment maintenance.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance, preferably within the mining or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and engines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins.
- Skilled in using diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license; a CDL is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards.
- Certification or formal training in heavy equipment repair is a plus.
