Extrusion Operator

Job Summary:

The Extrusion Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring extrusion equipment to ensure efficient production and consistent product quality. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and adjust extrusion equipment to maintain optimal production flow
• Ensure all products meet quality standards by following established production procedures
• Maintain accurate and timely records related to materials, scrap, and production output
• Perform basic troubleshooting and promptly report equipment issues
• Assist with inventory control tasks, including FIFO practices and cycle counts
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Work closely with leads and supervisors to resolve production issues and support continuous improvement efforts

Requirements:

• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for the duration of the shift
• Ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs
• Basic mechanical aptitude and solid communication skills
• Prior manufacturing or extrusion experience preferred but not required
