Job Description
Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to the following:
- Links/returns raw materials using MES/SAP to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Operates and troubleshoots extrusion and auxiliary equipment.
- Leads and performs material changeovers, set-ups, and start-ups as directed by area management.
- Performs and documents in-process sampling.
- Completes all required documentation accurately per GDP requirements.
- Adjust process parameters such as temperature, pressure, speed, and feed rates to maintain optimal extrusion conditions.
- Verifies that extruded products are package and labelled correctly.
- Champion a safety culture by ensuring that all safety guidelines, policies, and protocols are followed.
- Completes required training in a timely manner.
- Any other responsibilities assigned by area management.
Qualifications/Education/Special Skills
- Physical ability to perform activity in the extrusion room
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience leading troubleshooting efforts on extrusion or related equipment
- Experience making process adjustments to manufacturing equipment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability and willingness to work a 12 hour schedule
