We are seeking a Sr. Consultant with deep expertise in mRNA engineering to help our cross-functional discovery teams and create novel drug candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize mRNA sequences including 5′ and 3′ untranslated regions (UTRs) and open reading frames (ORF) to enhance mRNA's stability, translation efficiency, and ultimately, therapeutic effect.
- Design and polycistronic mRNA encoding multiple protein/peptide antigens.
- Implement novel methods for mRNA modifications to improve its therapeutic potential.
- Use mRNA design software to support mRNA design workflows and to analyze data and predict the behavior of designed mRNA constructs.
- Generate intellectual property and contribute to regulatory filings.
- Keep up-to-date with new technologies, industry trends, and research in mRNA science.
Qualifications
- PhD degree in molecular biology or a closely related discipline with 10+ years of experience
- Extensive experience in mRNA design, including expertise in designing, modifying, and optimizing RNA molecules.
- Proficiency with computational tools, including relevant software, algorithms, and databases for mRNA design and analysis.
- Industry experience in mRNA design or related areas is highly preferred
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data from experiments and computational analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
