Job Description

What You'll Do:

Coordinate the external transactions with 3rd party warehouse providers

  • Verify shipments into outside warehouses for accuracy and damage and reconcile inventories daily, weekly and monthly to BPCS
  • Maintain outside warehouse contract files for billable activities, analyze and review bills for accuracy and report discrepancies
  • Code and sign off on all warehouse invoices for storage, handling and any other charges
  • Verify invoices for accuracy and follow-up on inaccuracies

Coordinate the internal activities with 3rd party warehouse providers

  • Build orders and expedite shipments to outside warehouse locations by the most efficient and cost saving methods possible
  • Work with the sales staff to analyze, create, review and improve the sales forecast and inventory turn projections and targets
  • Order entry of warehouse re-supply orders where applicable along with confirmation of outbound customer orders
  • Analyze and report slow moving inventory
  • Monitor the system for customer orders and coordinate shipments through the outside warehouses for date, order specifics and method of shipment

Initiate the reporting of profitability of 3rd party operations

  • Copy the in-house salespersons on inventory balances and orders while analyzing and recommending inventory balance modifications
  • Make recommendations to reduce forward warehouse costs while maintaining warehouse profitability and customer service levels
  • Balance applicable warehouses with activity sheets from the warehouses and resolve discrepancies
  • Analyze and recommend customer and product mix changes to support forward warehouse profitability

Expedite and track shipments to and from 3rd party warehouses

  • Coordinate paperwork and reconcile inbound and outbound damage claims
  • Resolve past-due statements
  • Assist with the start-up of additional outside warehouses by recommending and developing processes and procedures that align with the departmental goals

Requirements for Success:

  • Associates degree preferred
  • 1 year working with the public

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Computer Skills-Microsoft Windows, MS Office (specifically Excel)
  • Must be available to work a flexible work schedule with extended hours during pack
  • Able to ambulate fingers and hands in phone interaction and computer documentation/data entry
