Job Description

Neal R. Gross and Co. is a leading Court Reporting and Transcription services company, having proudly provided nationwide services for more than 45 years. We are seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our growing team in Washington, DC, as a Marketing/Sales & Legal Operations Associate. This unique split role offers a comprehensive opportunity to contribute to our core legal service operations while also engaging in vital sales and outreach efforts. We hire intelligent, well-rounded people from a variety of backgrounds.

NRGCO provides comprehensive paid training to new hires, equipping you with the tools necessary to succeed. No prior experience in court reporting or legal operations is required. While sales experience is preferred for the sales aspect, it is not a requirement. This position provides broad business experience in a small company setting with exposure to the legal, judicial, and government sectors. We are committed to internal growth and career development; many of our management and executive team members began their careers in similar entry-level positions within our company.

Location and Hours

This is an in-person role, with occasional remote work opportunities. Working hours are generally Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The office is located at 1716 14th St NW, but work will take you to client sites around the Metro DC area throughout the week.

Responsibilities:

As a Legal Operations Associate - Sales, you will be cross-trained and responsible for a diverse set of duties, including:

  • Utilizing our in-house training to become proficient in aspects of court reporting and legal videography operations.
  • Conducting standard administrative duties related to legal service operations, such as taking and processing client orders for court reporting and videography services, electronically or by telephone.
  • Maintaining and confirming client schedules for assignments, and interacting with clients regarding special orders to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Processing orders and invoicing clients accurately and efficiently.
  • Engaging in proactive sales calls and outreach to new and existing clients (attorneys and other business professionals) to promote NRGCO's services.
  • Assisting with various marketing initiatives to support sales efforts.
  • Traveling to new locations within the state/DC area for assignments or sales meetings, requiring reliable transportation and punctuality.

Requirements

Required Skills:

  • 1-3 years of general work experience. New college graduates, individuals re-entering the workforce, and former teachers looking for a career change are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with an outgoing/extroverted personality preferred due to daily interaction with attorneys and business professionals.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Punctual and deadline-oriented.
  • Can-do attitude and excellent work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Organizational and time-management aptitude.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent English language skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficient with technology and comfortable learning new software.
  • Ability to pass security screening for access to client sites, including government buildings.
