Job Description

Title of Position:                Warehouse Supervisor

Classification:                    Salary, Exempt

Supervisor:                         Distribution Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of associates within the assigned department, to ensure the department’s targets and objectives for productivity, reliability and quality requirements are met, while ensuring that associates comply with health, safety and standard operating procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees department operational demands by scheduling and assigning associates, achieving quality work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; and reporting results of production.
  • Oversees frontline employee relations, performance and timekeeping.
  • Leads by example and imposes all safety and operational procedures; promote and ensure a safe working environment in compliance with company and regulatory standards by coaching and guiding associates on safety procedures and maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely reporting and providing data for the department and site.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) is required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience supervising in a manufacturing or distribution environment is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business communications and technical equipment manuals.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of associates and leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • General computer skills including utilization of the Microsoft Suite required - experience with AS400/SAP is preferred.
  • Ability to motivate others to meet demands established by the operational schedule and quality standards.
